Duane Borsa’s early life in Ontario and British Columbia appeared bright and successful on the surface, marked by athletic accomplishments, creative pursuits, and a close-knit Catholic upbringing. However, his internal reality grew dark during his twenties and thirties as he battled severe addictions to cocaine, pornography, and sexual bondage, alongside the heartbreak of multiple failed marriages. Though intense suicidal ideation led him to the brink of ending his life, he was sustained by a persistent inner voice and a deep sense of responsibility to the loved ones who depended on him. Seeking a radical fresh start, Duane moved to the quiet country town of Quesnel, British Columbia, in early 2025, where he stepped away from traditional employment and organized religion to focus on community service and personal spiritual work. By building a direct connection with "Source" or Creator energy, he processed his trauma, broke free from his addictions, and experienced an expanded consciousness that completely transformed his existence. Now 55 years old, Duane is living his happiest chapter—defined by minimal material wealth but immense spiritual gratitude—and wrote his memoir, Cosmic Awakening, to share his testimony and prove to others facing deep despair that recovery and true wholeness are possible.
