Duane Borsa grew up in Mississauga, Ontario, surrounded by a tight community and the structure of Catholic schooling. He was athletic, artistic, creative, and never without friends. His teenage years in Mission, British Columbia, continued that pattern of achievement and belonging. By most measures, Duane had everything working in his favor.

What nobody saw were the hidden struggles developing beneath the surface. Through his twenties and thirties, Duane’s life became a series of failed relationships, broken hearts, and spiraling addictions. His battles with pornography, substance abuse, and suicidal thoughts grew while his outward life continued to look successful. He became a hopeless romantic, pouring everything into relationships, hoping each one would finally work, only to experience repeated devastation.

In early 2025, Duane made a decision that changed everything. He left Vancouver and moved to a quiet town in Quesnel, British Columbia, where he could step away from noise and chaos and start over. There, he committed to genuine spiritual work, learning to connect directly with Source and building a life grounded in simplicity and gratitude rather than material accumulation or external validation.

Now at fifty-five, Duane lives differently than he once imagined. His possessions are minimal. His spiritual wealth is abundant. He spends his days in gratitude, helping his community on his own terms, and working directly with what he calls Source to manifest blessings. Writing ‘Cosmic Awakening’ became part of his transformation, a way to share what he learned and reach others trapped in the cycles he escaped.
