‘Cosmic Awakening’ tells the story of Duane Borsa’s descent into addiction and his eventual emergence into spiritual freedom. Throughout his twenties and thirties, Duane’s life unraveled through his own choices. Marriages ended. Relationships shattered. His struggles with pornography, cocaine, and sexual bondage intensified despite outward accomplishments. He used his body like a weapon, a way to seduce and manipulate and hide the emptiness inside. Suicidal thoughts visited him repeatedly, whispering that death was the only relief available. More than once, he stood at the edge of that final decision, only the thought of others’ suffering keeping him from stepping over.
